Construction of a log home is different than with a conventional home in a multitude of ways. A conventional home is assembled one wall at a time, built to exact specifications, pre engineered standards, using precut, graded lumber, and then erected on to it’s foundation. Logs are simply dried tree trunks which undergo stresses and forces that sometimes cannot be anticipated or controlled prior to, during, or after construction. It is important that the log home undergo a comprehensive analysis by a qualified professional prior to purchase.
