Although we are not “State Inspectors” nor do we work for the State of California, as a courtesy, we also include inspections of many Health & Safety concerns for the protection of our clients, and are familiar with Title 25 of the “Health & safety Code”, which governs the construction, use, maintenance, and occupancy of mobile home parks within the State of California.
Mobile and manufactured home construction techniques, building codes, park regulations, and maintenance requirements are not the same as with conventional homes. If you are selling or buying a manufactured home, then most likely a foundation certification will be required. For all FHA and VA loans, an engineer’s foundation certification is required that states that the home is placed on a permanent foundation that complies with the “HUD Permanent Foundation Guide for Manufactured Homes”, dated 1996 by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
